There are changes afoot at the national Modern Quilt Guild that affect our library sponsored Falmouth Modern Quilt Guild. Since our guild is a library sponsored program, we do not charge dues. Therefore our group will be pulling out of the MQG, but we wish them well!

I plan on cleaning out my fabric closet this weekend. I just heard that one of the women’s correctional centers in Maine teaches quilting and they need fabric. Two great ways to clean out my stash to make room for some flashier fabric! I will be bringing my fabric to the Nov. 15th meeting and encourage others to join me. We can swap, plan and discuss our future plans!
Our small group starting with an all day sewing session in October 2012. We had so much fun that we decided to continue and form a guild. Our first quilting effort was a modern design that we were all excited to finish. Our first organizational meeting will be Thursday, November 15th @ 6pm in the Russell Room of the library.
